Diagonal Baby Blanket
Materials: Approximately 645 yards of Worsted Weight yarn or 730 yards Sport Weight yarn.
Needles: Size 7 for Worsted Weight. Size 4 for Sport Weight.
Cast on 5 stitches. Knit one row. Next Row: Knit (K) 3, Yarn Over (YO), K2. Next Row: K3, YO, k3 Next Rows: k3, yo, k to end. Repeat until there are 170 stitches for Worsted Weight or 190 for Sport Weight. Next Rows: K2, K2together, YO, K2together, K to end. Repeat until there are 7 stitches. Next Row: K2, K2together, k2together, k to end. Bind off remaining 5 stitches.
Simple Seed Pattern Blanket
I used a worsted weight variegated yarn. but use what you prefer to work with.
Cast on 99 stitches loosely (or any odd number in the width you prefer) Row 1: K1, P1 and repeat to end. Rows 2 - End - Repeat Row 1 to desired length.
Granny Square Baby Blanket
Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form a ring. Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times, sl st in top of ch-3. Rnd 2: (Change Color if you wish) 21 Sl st in each ch in the ch-2, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, ch 1, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1 in next ch-2 sp) 3 times, sl st in top of ch-3. Rnd 3: (Change Color if you wish) 1 sl st in each chain in the ch-2 corner, ch 3, 2 dc in same corner sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp (form corner), ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, [(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) in next ch-2 sp, 3 dc, ch 1 in next ch-1 sp] 3 times, sl st in top of ch-3. Rnd 4: (Change Color if you wish) 1 sl st in each chain in corner, ch 3, 2 dc in same corner sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same corner sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, [(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) in next corner ch-2 sp, 3 dc, ch 1 in next ch-1 sp, 3 dc, ch 1 in next ch-1 sp] 3 times, sl st in top of ch-3. Rnds 5-??: Continue as established until blankie measures at least 32". Final 2 Rnds: Work sc evenly spaced around outside edge of blankie, working 3 sc in each corner, join with sl st in beg ch. Fasten off.
